July 12-16: Beg. Dutch & Hula Hoop, 9-3, ages 8+, U-district, $250 Register! FULL!
July 19-23: TCF, Sammamish. 9-12, all ages. Register!
July 26-30: Beaver Lake Lodge, Sammamish, 9am-12pm grades K-2 $125 Register!
July 26-30: Beaver Lake Lodge, Sammamish, 1pm-4pm grades 3-5 $125 Register!
August 2-6: Tukwila Community Center, all ages (register directly w/ TCC)
August 9-13: Intermediate Dutch (for anyone who has previously attended a NWDD camp/class), 9-3, U-District $240 Register!
August 16-20: Beg. Dutch & Hula Hoop, 9-3, ALL ages, U-district, $250 Register!
Our Camps:
- Are fun,challenging and entertaining (while sticking to business)
- Teach core values (respect, patience, teamwork, focus, etc)
- Implement and model the core values in our activities.
- Offer students the opportunity to succeed at their pace
- Are small in order to to meet each student's needs and skill level
Our Instructors:
- Are professionals in the field of jump rope & hula hoop
- Have years of experience teaching students of all ages
- Are all over 30 years of age & have had extensive background checks
- Strive to be awesome role models for young athletes
- Walk the walk when it comes to Double Dutch!
Sample Schedule:
9:00-9:15 Student drop off and practice
9:15-9:30 Morning meeting (introductions, goal setting, values and expectations for the day)
9:30-10:00 Warm up
10:00-10:30 New Skill
10:30-11:00 Final performance planning & Prep
11:30-12:30 Break Time (lunch, activity, jump rope/hula hoop videos, outside time)
12:30-1:00 Warm up and regroup
1:00-2:00 New Skill
2:00-2:45 Games and activities
2:45-3:00 Student pick up and free time
Students will have several short breaks during the day.
Beginning Jump Rope (entering grades K-2)
Get ready to JUMP! In this fast paced, action-packed jump rope camp you can expect to sweat! You will learn single rope, long rope and group skills & tricks...working our way up to double dutch! We will work on a routine to show off on the last day of camp. Please wear sneakers, clothes for activity and bring a refillable water bottle.
Beginning Double Dutch (entering grades 3-5)
You are part of the team! From the first activity at camp to the last we will be working together to design a choreographed jump rope routine which will include single rope jumping, long rope jumping and double dutch! Please wear sneakers, clothes for activity and bring a refillable water bottle.
Intermediate Double Dutch (Previous jumping experience)
The newest addition to the NWDD team! You must be able to turn double dutch ropes with ease, jump into and out of the ropes and jump with your feet together as well as alternating. We will focus on designing a routine, working together as a team and offer up an action packed final performance on the last day of camp.
Beginning Hula Hoop w/ Fringe Fitness:
Learn how to hula hoop or build upon your previous skills. We will focus on the basics of hula hooping: how to keep the hoop around your waist, how to move your arms and legs while hooping so you can do some fun dance moves, how to speed up and slow down the rotation of the hoop, and we will cover the basics of hand hooping. Fringe Fitness is a Seattle based company that is devoted to offering offbeat and creative fitness classes for kids and adults.
